The City Administration (executive-administrative body of the municipal establishment “the Сity of Izhevsk”) is authorized by the Izhevsk Charter to solve issues of local importance and to carry out certain state powers handed over to the bodies of local government by the federal laws and the laws of the Udmurt Republic.

The structure of the City Administration is submitted by the Head of the City Administration and approved by the City Council.

The City Administration consists of:

1) territorial bodies – city districts’ administrations that are organization departments of the City Administration and are vested in determinate order with the status of an artificial person;

2) sectoral (functional) bodies – organization departments of the City Administration that are vested in determinate order with the status of an artificial person;

3) sectoral (functional) bodies – organization departments of the City Administration without a status of an artificial person.

City districts’ administrations, sectoral (functional) bodies with a status of an artificial person are submitted by the Head of the City Administration, are approved by the City Council and function on the basis of regulations that are approved by the City Council.

Sectoral (functional) bodies without a status of an artificial person carry out their activities on the basis of regulations that are approved by the Head of the City Administration.
